Boat Repair — an integral part of vessel maintenance.
The fashion for river and sea cruises has recently become firmly established in our country as well. Even a small boat is capable of bringing its owner and those around them unforgettable moments of leisure.
Vessels, like all mechanisms, require, from time to time, preventive or major repairs. Especially after active use or a long winter storage in shore docks, some parts, the engine, or the hull coating may become damaged.
Usually boat repair includes the following types of work:
- comprehensive repair work;
- replacement of specific parts;
- repair of the engine or other boat systems, their adjustment or replacement;
- replacement of glass units and plastic hull components;
- treatment of the bottom with special agents that prevent overgrowth of algae and mollusks;
- installation of additional elements not provided by the manufacturer for customization;
- reupholstering of seats;
- painting and priming of the vessel;
- diagnostics and repair of steering and running systems;
- installation of special keel protection that allows free mooring in undesignated locations;
- dry cleaning of cabins and polishing of the deck;
- design, engineering and carpentry work;
- replacement and repair of electrical equipment;
- and other types of work.

Before beginning restoration and repair work, specialists in workshops assess the overall condition of the boat, develop a work plan and estimate.
In the case of purchasing a boat that has been in use, it must be subject to diagnostics in a specialized workshop without fail. The money spent on purchasing a used boat and its repair will in any case amount to a smaller sum than the purchase of a new vessel.
