The five-time winner of the prestigious football award “The Golden Ball” spent a week’s vacation in the Mediterranean Sea on a 47-meter mega-yacht Africa I.
After completing his debut season in Serie A, which took place in Italy, Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo decided to recover a bit and take a well-deserved break. Packing his bags, he flew to the city of Saint-Tropez, located in the southeastern part of France. Here he spent luxurious holidays with his friends, family, and girlfriend, model Georgina Rodriguez. This is evidenced by photographs that the world football star is not shy about posting on Instagram.
By the way, before this, the couple spent several days in sunny Greece. But the main guest was Juventus’s new coach Maurizio Sarri, who is Cristiano’s direct boss.
Layout of the Mega-Yacht Africa I
The yacht on which the Juventus legend enjoys scenic views is called Africa I. The vessel, which is 47 meters long and 8.8 meters wide, is equipped with 6 cabins accommodating 12 people, fitted with the latest technology. Cristiano himself certainly settled in the master cabin. The superstructure and hull are made of aluminum. Thanks to special stabilizers, vacationers won’t suffer from seasickness. The motorboat has a decent fuel capacity of 65,000 liters – enough for 3,915 nautical miles. The yacht’s cruising speed is 12 knots, and its maximum speed is 23 knots.
In the cozy saloon, comfortable cream-colored sofas are arranged. There’s also a lounge and a gym. The watercraft was built by the Benetti shipyard in 2010 and underwent modernization in 2018. The interior design was handled by masters from Zuretti, who decorated it in a classical style. The vessel is serviced by a crew of 9 people.
Entertainment on the Mega-Yacht Africa I
The cozy atmosphere on board the 47-meter vessel is not the only thing that appealed to Ronaldo and his company. Africa I has everything for entertainment and truly paradise-like relaxation. There’s a wide assortment of water toys here, including water skis, several Seabobs, wakeboarding and stand-up paddleboarding boards.
Ronaldo also tried one of the 3 jet skis, a high-speed electric surfboard, and an inflatable platform. But that’s not where water activities end: you can go underwater hunting using diving equipment. And thanks to an inflatable pier, you can safely exit the water on difficult, rocky shores.
Even the sea and active recreation can become boring, and sometimes you just want to watch a romantic movie under the starry sky. For this purpose, the super-yacht has a cinema equipped with a 4K projector from Sony that supports the Ultra HD standard. Moreover, in the open sea you can use the Internet. You can also arrange a pleasant candlelit dinner in the lounge area, finished with fine wood. During the day, you can bask in the sun on the forward deck or relax in the jacuzzi, which Cristiano and Georgina did quite often.
